From digital learning sessions and wellness drives celebrating International Day of Yoga 2026 to critical medical support and extensive annadaanam sevas, our volunteers continued to serve communities with love, dignity, and deep gratitude through the months of May and June
International Day of Yoga 2026
The International Day of Yoga sparked a series of special wellness drives, reaching out to diverse groups: school children, residents of shelter homes, and employees of a defence establishment and a semiconductor company. All sessions were facilitated by experienced teachers trained at the Bharat Yogavidya Kendra (BYK), an initiative of The Satsang Foundation.
Ordinance Factory Dehu Road, Pune
Yoga sessions were held on 14 and 21 June at the premises of the Ordinance Factory Dehu Road (OFDR), Pune supporting about 100 participants with foundational yoga asanas, specific asanas for improving spinal flexibility and mobility, and pranayama and meditation, emphasizing the importance of conscious breathing for enhancing physical vitality, mental clarity, and emotional balance
Subhedar Ramji Ambedkar Vidyalaya, Mumbai
Designed to counter the physical strains of sitting for extended study hours, the wellness workshops at Subhedar Ramji Ambedkar Vidyalaya in Dahisar helped empower 45 students from Grades 8 through 10. Practising variations of Utkatasana (Chair Pose), seated spinal twists, Raised Hands Pose, and Parvatasana (Mountain Pose), Tadasana, Vrikshasana, Trikonasana, Vajrasana, and Balasana, the children were guided on adopting conscious sitting habits to help boost mental focus and concentration during long exam preparations.
Soham Senior Living, Nagpur
A two-day session designed to promote holistic health, mobility, and mental well-being drew the active attendance of over 20 seniors at Soham Senior Living. Gentle stretches and breathing exercises filled the participants with joy and a collective spirit of rejuvenation.
Namma Mane, Vallabh Niketan Ashram and MediaTek, Bengaluru
The weekend yoga outreach sessions resumed with gusto at Namma Mane after the summer vacation with an energetic abhyasa including Sukshma vyayama, Surya Namaskar, mantra chanting, pranayama, and meditation. While at Vallabh Niketan Ashram, the youngsters continued to build on their weekly yoga practice with an extended session under the guidance of their instructors.
Over 50 employees at MediaTek, a semiconductor company, learned practices suitable for the workplace, focussing on joint mobility, simple stretches, Chair Surya Namaskara, pranayama, and meditation.
Attapadi Schools, Kerala
Supported by dedicated educators, healthcare professionals, and Satsang Seva Mission volunteers, a structured yoga training program was launched across six schools in the remote tribal regions of Attappadi with the vision of nurturing healthier, happier, and resilient young minds.
Learning Sessions and Digital Literacy
Murbad & Borivali East, Mumbai
Our digital outreach bridged distances to support the young Vedic scholars of the Bhaktivedant Vidyabhavan Gurukul in Murbad with weekly foundational English Grammar and Literature lessons and academic support for Grade 10 students taking the NIOS exams. A comprehensive book donation drive from Borivali East has also helped support the learners with English dictionaries, grammar textbooks, notebooks, and pens.
Vashi, Navi Mumbai
A dedicated Spoken English program tailored for 30 students aged 16 to 40 years was launched at the Society for Paraplegic Rehabilitation Center which provides holistic rehabilitation, including physical therapy and job placement training to individuals who are wheelchair-bound due to life-altering accidents.
Dahisar, Mumbai
The Subhedar Ramji Ambedkar Vidyalaya hosted a vibrant session for 30 enthusiastic children, blending physical expression with ecological awareness, featuring dynamic art and craft sessions, music, dance, interactive games, and environment-focused educational activities.
Thane, Mumbai
Throughout May and June, volunteers maintained a steady, loving presence at Bal Snehalaya, a home sheltering 15 to 20 vulnerable children aged 6 to 16. Our weekly visits balanced physical wellness, academic curiosity, and nutritional support with yoga workshops, lessons in Indian classical flute, interactive phonics sessions and reading programs, basic computer literacy, creative craft workshops, culinary sessions, grocery supplies, and clothing drives.
Nurturing Health & Dignity
Hygiene Supplies at Hyderabad
Continuing their sustained commitment to the children and youngsters sheltered at Mathru Abhaya Foundation, the young women were provided with lightweight, comfortable essential garments and biodegradable sanitary napkins along with the monthly dry rations. The afternoon wrapped up beautifully with the residents excitedly sharing stories about their school studies and creative hobbies with the visiting team.
Medical Outreach at Nagpur
Bridging healthcare gaps in rural communities, a multi-specialty medical camp was organized on 31 May 2026 in collaboration with Shalinitai Meghe Hospital, extending care to 72 patients at no cost. Blood pressure and blood sugar screenings preceded specialized consultations across General Medicine, Gynecology, and Ophthalmology. Prescribed medicines were distributed on-site, and individuals requiring advanced clinical care were referred to the base hospital.
Collection of Preloved Clothing at Mumbai
On June 13, volunteers successfully organized, ironed, packed, and shipped 8 bags of high-quality pre-loved clothing to a renowned organization at Mira Road. Routed directly through their Cloth for Work initiative, these essential clothing packs will benefit close to 100 rural community members across the country, turning urban surplus into a powerful tool for sustainable rural development.
Annadaanam Seva Across India & Overseas
While our daily and weekly annadaanam seva continued across Mathura-Vrindavan, Bengaluru, and Mumbai, some of our fortnightly and monthly sevas brought much-needed hydration and nutritional relief.
Labour Chowk at Sector 43, Gurugram
The Sector 43 Labour Chowk remains a focal hub for our community feeding drives held every fortnight, serving meals to construction workers and laborers waiting to be engaged for their daily assignment. Since the launch in April, over 4400 lives have been touched till date. Along with their meals, a Chabeel (a traditional sweet, cooling drink) was served to ward off the blistering heat.
Labour Chowk at Sector 62, Noida
During the monthly annadaanam seva, over 1200 daily wage workers were offered fresh meals, fruits, and refreshing jeera (cumin) water. The atmosphere turned into a warm space of community sharing as workers paused to sit and enjoy their meals together.
Mahila Seva Mandal, Pune
Large wholesale provisions, including approximately 30 kg each of essential lentils and other items were offered to support the daily nutritional requirements of all 150 residents of Mahila Seva Mandal, a shelter home for women facing distress.
Sri Krishna Sansthan, Nagpur
Vulnerable and differently-abled women continued to be supported at the SriKrishna Sansthan with essential monthly supplies, providing for their daily nutritional needs and overall well-being.
Daily Food Boxes in Burundi
Our overseas outreach continued at Bujumbura, Burundi with the launch of daily annadaanam seva. An average of 280 packaged meal boxes are offered every day at 12 noon to municipal workers, daily wage workers, and pavement dwellers. Each meal box comprises a dense, nutritious local staple of rice, beans, potatoes, and spinach offering a solid source of protein.
