Buddha said, “There is sorrow in this world.” Definitely, there is sorrow. Even in the midst of great happiness, there is sorrow lurking somewhere. When you are at your happiest, you can look back and see there will be a dark cloud somewhere. Clinging on to this happiness and not letting it go is the beginning of sorrow. You are protecting it because you think it will disappear.
