Internal experience cannot be transmitted through repetitiousness. It has to be constantly refreshed from the source. When you have an internal experience for the first time, since it is so marvelous, you will long for that experience again and again. You try to bring about that experience again and again. How? By inventing it. But what comes after is only your invention and imitation of that experience. This is not the new experience. By trying to bring it about, you effectually cut off the new experience that is going to come to you. It may be quite different from what you had the first time
