Chanda Satsang Vidyalaya inaugurated by Sri M on 30 June 2017

Sri M inaugurated the "Chanda Satsang Vidyalaya" on 30th June, 2017 at Lathira village near Garh Mukteshwar - a two hour drive from Delhi. The land and building for the school have been provided through the kind auspices of Dr Anil and the late Mrs. Chanda Seth, who desired that it be run along the lines of the schools set up by The Satsang Foundation. The rural school will function under the aegis of The Satsang Vidyalaya, Madanapalle following the organic play way system of learning, providing free quality education and a nutritious day meal to all the children. Classes have already started in the school with 75 children enrolled initially. Besides regular pre-school classes, the Vidyalaya will also be a tuition centre for students from classes one to five, who study in nearby schools. A library has also been set up for students with 200 books for children up to class five. Besides the dedicated teachers recruited for the school, many volunteers have come forward to contribute their skills in teaching art, music, story telling and so on on a weekly basis. A search is underway for an able volunteer who can stay at the site and help with running and overseeing the school in its initial stages.
