Behind every warm plate of food, every health checkup, and every classroom lesson lies a simple, enduring truth: community transformation happens when we show up for one another.
From the bustling, sun-baked labor hubs of Delhi NCR to the quiet, forested hillsides of Attappadi in Kerala, this month has been yet another testament to the quiet power of concerted community action. Together, our volunteers, healthcare professionals, and educators came together to nourish minds, support health, and restore dignity where it is needed most.
Kerala: Bringing Wellness to the Indigenous Communities in Attappadi
Stretching across 735 square kilometers of rugged terrain, Attappadi is home to vibrant indigenous tribal communities that face significant health and geographic hurdles.
To support the well-being of local children, volunteers officially launched a structured Yoga Training Program across six government schools. To reach all six schools, a dedicated yoga instructor travels over 80 km weekly across challenging terrain where wild elephant and leopard encounters are common. Yet this community outreach program ensures that over 375 children studying at the government lower primary schools at Anavai, Chindakki, Kottathara, Karara, Agali, and Mulli are now learning techniques that build physical resilience, emotional strength, and mental focus.
The ongoing daily Egg Distribution Program and provision of finger millet (ragi) and bananas continue to sustain and boost the nutritional intake of these children, ensuring holistic support and overall growth.
Delhi-NCR: Warm Meals for Daily-Wage Workers

Each morning, hundreds of daily-wage workers gather at specific locations across Gurugram and Noida. Known informally as labour chowks, these hubs are their only hope to be hired for the day and earn a meagre pay. To offer comfort amid this daily perseverance, large-scale Annadaanam Sevas are organized at Gurugram, Sector 43 and Noida, Sector 62.
The Gurugram Annadaanam Seva takes place twice a month, serving over 1100 people each time, offering a filling meal before they set off to work. With the intense heat conditions still prevailing in the region, crucial hydration support was also offered during the months of June and July with refreshing chabeel. During the monthly Annadaanam Seva in Noida, Sector 62, more than 650 workers enjoyed hot meals and fruits to supplement their immunity.
True to our commitment to the environment, volunteers immediately followed the seva with quick plogging drives clearing waste and leaving the area spotless.
Mumbai: Extensive Outreach for Underserved Urban Communities
Annadaanam Sevas form the crux of the community outreach at Mumbai, ensuring that meals are provided every day, offering daily sustenance to several underserved, urban communities in Byculla, Nalasopara, Lokhandwala, Vasai, and Chunabhatti on specific days of the week.
As part of the extended community outreach, medical checkups were held at Subhedar Ramji Ambedkar Vidyalaya in Dahisar East. About 77 primary school students (Balshishu Varga to Grade IV) underwent a comprehensive health evaluation—covering BMI, vision, dental, and emotional wellness. Each child walked away proudly holding their own Personal Health Card, turning health awareness into an exciting personal goal. This medical outreach camp is a vital extension of the value education sessions, yoga outreach program, and school support mission that continues to support the wellbeing of these children.
At the Society for Paraplegic Rehabilitation Center in Vashi, 30 adult learners actively built their English communication skills to prepare for independent career opportunities. Meanwhile, online grammar and literature classes kept Grade 10 students at Bhaktivedant Gurukul, Murbad, thriving in their studies—including one student who logged in eagerly while traveling on a train to Gujarat! At Balsnehalay, educational phonics, yoga, and a cheerful birthday celebration brought big smiles and renewed confidence to the children sheltered at this home.
Nagpur: Rural Medical Outreach and Back-to-School essentials for School Children

The monthly medical outreach camps at Nand Gomukh (27 June) and Malegaon (18 July) provided specialized consultations (General Medicine, Gynecology, Ophthalmology) and free medications to over 250 rural patients. A total of 41 patients requiring advanced care were successfully referred to Shalinitai Meghe Hospital. With health cards and transportation to and from the city, the outreach is extended to ensure easy access to timely medical intervention and sustained treatment.
At Matoshri Mainabai School, 67 children received new school shoes, as part of the Back-to-School essentials outreach, ensuring basic comfort as they start their scholastic journey for the year.
As a special annadaanam seva, over 100 children at the Nutan Bharat Vidyalaya were served with a full meal. This residential school provides education and shelter for children from farming and rural communities living in remote villages with few educational facilities.
Pune: Inauguration of cow shelter at Kalika Gaushala

July 19th marked the inauguration of a new cow shelter at Kalika Gaushala—a haven devoted to rescuing, protecting, and caring for abandoned cattle.
For animals that once faced neglect and uncertainty, Kalika Gaushala represents a vital second chance. The newly constructed cow shelter is spacious, airy, and meticulously designed to shelter 18–20 cows and bulls, providing them with a safe, clean, and peaceful environment to live without fear.
Volunteers served fresh fodder, green vegetables, and jaggery to the residents. Far beyond a ceremonial gesture, this act embodied the core ethos of Gau Seva—honoring and protecting vulnerable lives.
Bengaluru and Hyderabad: Sustenance and Care for Children and Marginalized Communities
Sustenance and nutritional care for the residents of Vallabh Niketan Ashram and Namma Mane through monthly dry ration supplies form the basic foundation of the Annadaanam Seva program offered at Bengaluru since 2015. Weekly meals provide additional support to the Vallabh Niketan residents and offer food security to urban marginalized communities at Lakshmipuram and Lalbagh West Gate. Often ignored groups such as autorickshaw and cab drivers, daily gig workers, and daily wage workers find much relief at these meal points, knowing that they are assured of one filling meal during their busy work day.
Building on an active partnership with Balamrai Government High School since 2018, volunteers distributed 500 biodegradable, eco-friendly sanitary napkins to senior secondary students—supporting these youngsters with their monthly health supplies while sensitizing them about hygienic practices and safe disposal of the used napkins.
