Buddha’s work was an original exposition of the Upanishads in their pristine purity. His effort was to render them in crystal clear thought, as opposed to the ritualism, customs and practices, which had taken over the ancient teachings through the years and hid their true essence almost completely. So much so, it had become difficult to even get a glimpse of Truth in them.
