In the Yoga Vasistha, Vasistha says to Rama, “A person who thinks everything is destined and doesn't put in any self-effort is equivalent to a donkey.” We always say it’s destiny when there is something we can't do. When we can do it, we think we did it. So instead of thinking about whether it is destiny or not, if you have an aim, you should put in a lot of effort into it. If constant effort doesn't work, then you can say, “Oh, this is destiny.”
