Deep sleep, Sushupti  is a state of sleep where there are no dreams. It may be very short. It is in this state that you actually recover and rejuvenate. This is because there is no inner cognition of who I am. There is no outer cognition of the world. Both do not exist, and therefore there is a blissful sleep.
