 Upanishads are also called Aranayakas. End of the other portions of the Veda. The Sanskrit word for end is Anta. So they are known as Veda-Anta. When the Truths of the Upanishads are understood, it's finished. There is nothing more to be understood. This is also another reason why it is called Anta.
