When people went to Shirdi Sai baba and said, “These are our problems, please help us”, he would say, ‘Allah Malik Hai” or “Ram, Ram”. So no one had an idea whether he was a Muslim or a Hindu or a Christian. So his basic message was to unite, to bring people together, because Allah and Ram were the same to him.
