According to the Vedantic teaching or according to what Ramana Maharishi said (who, I think, was one of the latest teachers of ‘Vedanta’ with a genuine experience of it), “When you pursue this 'trying to find out who you are', then you begin to think, ‘Maybe, I am the mind.’ Then you say, ‘Yeah, I must be the mind’, then, ‘Whose mind?’ and so on.”
