Once one is established in this silence, then no noise can disturb you. Silence is not the absence of sound. As long as the chatter of the mind remains, there is no solitude. In the depths of your heart, there is silence. You sometimes come upon it when you look at the lake or the mountain. Why we don’t come upon it is because we compare and judge, whereby the chattering starts.
